Sugar VIES Integrator

A permanent connection between your CRM and the VIES (VAT Information Exchange System) database.
VIES (VAT Information Exchange System) is an online information exchange system that enables verification of business identification numbers for cross-border transactions. If you work with companies from the European Union, it provides a set of officially registered data about your business partners.
With the eVolpe plugin you do not need to retype this data or even copy and paste it into the CRM. The integrator does it for you. You can also verify that the company in question is legitimately operating.
How does the Sugar VIES Integrator work?
Step 1. Enter the VATIN in the VAT Identification Number field and click Download Data
Note: if you are in a record view where the VAT number is already filled in, the data is retrieved from VIES automatically.
The integrator also validates the number against its checksum.
Any duplicate records with the same VAT number are identified as well.
Step 2. Review the VIES data
The data retrieved through the integration is shown in a table. The first column contains field names, the second the data returned by the integration, and the third the modules that use this data.
If a record with the same VAT number is found, the table displays links to it, together with the names of the duplicates identified.
Step 3. Create a new record
In the Home view and in the list view (after the data is retrieved), you can create a new record with the Create record button. This opens the record creation view in the selected module, and the relevant data is filled in automatically according to the field mapping defined in the integration.
Note: risk of overwriting data.
In the record view, after the data is retrieved, if any of the mapped fields already contain values, a notification about possible data overwriting appears. To overwrite the data, select Overwrite Record Data.
Licensing: 12-month subscription per CRM instance, with updates and bug fixes included during the subscription, under the eVolpe Modules Master Subscription Agreement. Prices are net (excluding VAT).
